Key Aspects of Being a Luminous Being:

To be a luminous being refers to embodying a higher state of awareness, vibrational energy, and connection to the spiritual or cosmic essence of life. It is a concept found in various spiritual traditions, including Andean shamanism, where it signifies someone who has transcended their ordinary, ego-driven existence to live in harmony with themselves, others, and the universe.

In Andean Shamanism:

The concept of luminous beings is deeply tied to the idea of the "luminous energy field" (LEF), which surrounds all living things. Andean shamans believe that by cleansing and strengthening the LEF through practices like the Munay-Ki rites, individuals can access their inherent luminosity and live as co-creators of a more harmonious reality.

In essence, to be a luminous being means living in alignment with love, light, and the highest expression of your spirit, radiating that light into the world to inspire and transform.

The Light Body

The light body refers to the energetic aspect of a person that exists beyond the physical form. It is sometimes called the luminous energy field (LEF) in Andean shamanism or the aura in other traditions. Developing the light body involves:

  • Purification of Energy: Releasing dense, negative energies accumulated from trauma, limiting beliefs, or past experiences.
  • Awakening Spiritual Power: Activating higher vibrational frequencies through practices like the Munay-Ki rites, meditation, and alignment with nature.
  • Healing and Transformation: Integrating emotional, mental, and spiritual healing to radiate light and live from a place of authenticity, love, and wisdom.

A fully awakened light body allows an individual to live with heightened intuition, clarity, and vitality, while embodying unconditional love and compassion. In this state, they become luminous beings who inspire and heal others.

I no longer strive for "being perfect"—nor do I believe we need to reach some ideal state of luminous perfection. We are spirit beings in human form, here on a journey of learning and evolving. As my teacher says, "There are no mistakes, only learning." Every experience is an opportunity for growth and transformation.
